Market Steer Project - 2023/2024
This year the Market Steer project will be offered as a Provincial Project.
Members are responsible to register for the project by submitting the animal registration form directly to Easter Beef organizers - they will in turn notify the 4-H Office of who has registered for this event

In an effort to ensure all 4-H participants are accounted for in this project, members are asked to email Lori at pei4hprograms@gmail.com to indicate that they have officially submitted their registration form.
PROJECT DETAILS

There will be 3 meeting dates for members to attend. In order to complete the project and show at Easter Beef, members must attend 2 out of 3 sessions.

Members will also be required to complete their Club Communications or Alternate Communications (Senior Members only), Agriculture Awareness, and Community Service Activities BEFORE February 23, 2024.

ALL paperwork and project requirements must be complete AND submitted to the 4-H office before this date, or member will not be able to compete at Easter Beef. If a club is not completing their communications before the deadline, that member should contact Rayanne Frizzell, Administrative Director at pei4had@gmail.com to make arrangements ensuring they complete.
Current Timeline
December 8 – Registration Deadline (EXTENDED by Easter Beef Organizers)
*January 6 – Session 1
*January 20 – Session 2
*February 3 – Session 3
February 23 – All paper work required to be submitted to the 4-H Office, 40 Enman Crescent, Suite 235, Charlottetown before 4pm. March 7 & 8 – Easter Beef Show and Sale, Charlottetown.
(Note: All animals in the show must also go thru the sale, as per Easter Beef rules)
PLEASE NOTE - these session dates (*) are tentative and members will be given final dates, times and locations ASAP. Please consider that weather may play a factor but we have left time to reschedule into February if needed. Members who are currently residing outside of PEI must contact Rayanne Frizzell, Administrative Director at pei4had@gmail.com to make alternative arrangements to complete the requirements for this project.
