
Dairy Project
The Dairy Project is about more than just knowing where milk comes from!

This project aims to offer 4-H members a chance to explore the day to day operation of dairy farming. Participants will learn about the latest farming tools and practices, the significance of animal care, and the necessary skills for preparing and showing animals in 4-H Classes.

REMINDER:
To be eligible to participate in 4-H Classes at PEI Fairs & Exhibition, members must complete ALL project requirements and supporting documents as listed on the PIP. This information must be displayed in the Member Binder at the Club's Achievement Day.
Royal DairyTeam
Eight 4-H PEI Dairy members and their calves will be selected to represent PEI in the Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, ON. While at the Royal, the 4-H PEI Royal Dairy Team members will compete with over 300 4-H dairy members from across Canada competing in breed and showmanship classes
To be eligible to show in the Royal Dairy Selection Class at Evangeline, Dairy members must show their Royal Selection animal at:

Club Achievement Day

PLUS - One additional 4-H PEI show (Participation at EastGen will count as an additional 4-H PEI Show)

PLUS - the 4-H showmanship and conformation classes at Evangeline Exhibition
NOTE: If a member completes their Achievement Day at an Exhibition, they CAN NOT use that as an additional show.

Additional Project Resources are provided as reference materials for members & volunteer leaders. These resources can be utilized when organizing project workshops and sessions and although NOT required for completion, will provide valuable reference material. Remember to tap into your own creativity to learn to do by doing and develop the desired skills of the project.
