Spring Projects
Spring Projects invite 4-H members to explore the fascinating world of agriculture, emphasizing soil and seeds, with a focus on potatoes, floriculture, and vegetable gardening. These projects offer invaluable hands-on experiences, guiding members and volunteer leaders through the stages of planting, nurturing plants to harvest and then showcasing their produce and/or flowers.
Market Turkey is listed as a Spring Project and will be offered if there is enough interest. Members raise their poults (typically hatched in the spring) for the sole purpose of taking the grown turkey to market. 4-H traditionally offers an event featuring an auction where members can parade their project and sell to the highest bidder.
