
Beef Project
The Beef Project is ideal for both beginner and advanced beef members.
The goal is for members to develop a comprehension of beef cattle production, care and related industries. As part of this initiative, members will acquire the skills to choose and look after show animals, while strengthening their abilities in judging and showing beef animals.

REMINDER:
To be eligible to participate in 4-H Classes at PEI Fairs & Exhibition, members must complete ALL project requirements and supporting documents as listed on the PIP. This information must be displayed in the Member Binder at the Club's Achievement Day.
IMPORTANT ROYAL BEEF TEAM REMINDER—NEW FOR 2025! To be eligible to show in the Royal BEEF Selection Class at Dundas, the member must have attended the EastGen Showcase at least once in the past.
Additionally please remember that in the current year the beef members must show their Royal Selection animal at:

Club Achievement Day;

PLUS - the 4-H showmanship and conformation classes at Dundas Plowing Match to be eligible to compete in the Royal Selection Class.
(NOTE: If a member completes their Achievement Day at the Dundas Plowing Match, then they must participate in either the East Gen Showcase or the 4-H beef classes at Old Home Week)
EastGen Atlantic Showcase in 2025 is July 2-4, Truro, NS. More details to follow once available.

Additional Project Resources are provided as reference materials for members & volunteer leaders. These resources can be utilized when organizing project workshops and sessions and although NOT required for completion, will provide valuable reference material. Remember to tap into your own creativity to learn to do by doing and develop the desired skills of the project.
