Royal Beef Team

Ten 4-H PEI Beef members and their calves will be chosen to represent Prince Edward Island at the National Junior Beef Heifer Show during the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, ON. This event is the foremost heifer show for Canadian 4-H Beef members. Over the years, the competition has expanded, now featuring more than 200 4-H beef members from across the country in various breed and showmanship classes.

To be eligible to show in the Royal BEEF Selection Class at Dundas, the member must:

  • Show their Royal heifer at the Club Achievement Day

  • Show their Royal heifer in the the 4-H showmanship & conformation classes at Dundas Plowing Match
NOTE: If a member completes their Achievement Day at the Dundas Plowing Match, then they must participate in either the East Gen Showcase or the 4-H beef classes at Old Home Week this year. It is understood that if the member chooses the East Gen Showcase to fulfill this requirement that they will not necessarily be using their Royal Selection animal at this event. In this case only, participation of the member in the event is the only requirement.
